Although I enjoy a glass every now and then, I don't enjoy shopping for wine. Why? I'm not a wine expert. When I head to the store to buy a bottle, I stand there looking at hundreds of bottles of wine. Up and down the aisles. Not really sure what I'm looking at. You can also see a short video on each bottle of wine you want that describes that wine's tasting notes, where the grapes came from, and a little backstory about the wine maker. You can easily watch these videos on your smartphone by scanning the bar code on the bottle. Of course, there is no obligation to learn anything about the wine you're drinking. You can just sit back, put your feet up and sip your wine! The company has been perfecting how wine is made, distributed, perceived and purchased via their Palate Profile quiz that recommends wine based on your unique tastes. It takes the hassle and guesswork out of picking a bottle from your local liquor store and delivers the perfect bottle directly to your doorstep. The website is super easy to navigate. What I like best is the fact that you can choose to have a selection sent monthly but you aren't locked it. You can cancel or skip a month or two at any time. Plus, if you really don't like a selection that was made for you - no problem - you won't have to pay for it. I filled out my Palate Profile and let Winc make the selections for me based on my profile. I was very happy with 3 of the 4 choices. My 4th choice didn't thrill me only because I'm really not a huge fan of red wine, but my family enjoyed it so it was a win for me.
Your shipment arrives well packaged with each bottle secured well. I particularly like the sturdy handle on the box that makes taking your Winc with you to a get-together super easy! After each delivery, be sure to rate the wines that Winc sent to help them make better selections for your next order/shipment.
